One of our technicians is really empathetic. He notices things with our customers that sometimes really impress us with the thoughtfulness.
Last week he came back to the office to close out his day and mentioned that he gave a young woman a FREE Allergy Treatment that day. She has two cats and her 7 year old son’s best friend was over for a playdate. The friend was having an allergy attack as our technician was setting up – Mom was grabbing allergy meds to give to the friend. Upon a little more questioning, she explained that she has a number of good friends who are allergic and even when she vacuums every two days, they find it uncomfortable to be in her home.
This is a common problem and actually was a concern of this author as well because people with bad cat allergies just cannot be in a home with cats and be comfortable. If you entertain a lot, or you have close friends with allergies, it can be a problem if you have pets!! So you want cats, but you want your friends over too! Now you don’t have to choose.
Our thoughtful technician came to the rescue. He offered her to try out our allergy treatment free of charge. WHAT?? Yes – that’s right! He knew that if she tried it, she would never complete another cleaning without it, and that when her friends were able to visit without any reaction, she would call us every six months (our allergy treatment has residual effects lasting up to six months!) for a cleaning and a fresh application.
For years we have included this treatment as part of our mattress cleaning package, and people really notice a difference. We have some customers who don’t clean without it, but MOST of our team and our clients don’t bother with it because they don’t have allergies. This is ok if you are a private person and never have guests, but if you like to have friends over, or your kids like to have friends come to your home, do them a favor and give it a try!
